Bridge Alliance members offer subscribers affordable data roaming through regional one-code activation

  • Bridge Alliance regional one-code 145 allows mobile subscribers to easily activate data roaming plans with their respective home mobile operator when overseas.
  • Subscribers can choose from a variety of affordable and unlimited roaming plans.
  • The 145 activation code is available to mobile subscribers of the eleven Bridge Alliance members when they roam on the preferred BMO’s network.

Mobile subscribers of the Bridge Alliance Member Operators (BMOs) who are travelling within the 11 BMOs’ locations – Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand – can now easily activate affordable and unlimited data roaming services through a regional activation number, 145.

With this single activation code, 145, BMOs’ mobile subscribers can now activate data roaming plans with their respective home mobile operator quickly and easily, anytime and anywhere when travelling in the BMOs’ geographical footprint.

BMOs’ subscribers have the freedom to choose from a variety of roaming plans. Depending on the plan they choose, they can either enjoy unlimited data roaming or pay only for the data they consume for activities like emailing, chatting and surfing the internet when overseas.

• Terms & conditions apply. Check with your home mobile operator for details. Aside from the Bridge Alliance 145 activation code, your home operator local activation code is also valid. AUD50 cents per call is applicable to all Optus mobile subscribers. For SKT subscribers travelling in Asia Pacific, 145 is a toll-free number.

For example, a Globe subscriber travelling to the Singapore will simply need to dial *145# to choose and activate his preferred roaming plan provided by Globe.

To enjoy great savings on roaming rates, BMOs’ subscribers must select and logon to the respective BMO’s network of that location they are travelling to. For the example above, the Globe subscriber must logon to Singtel while in Singapore to enjoy the service. Prevailing charges will apply if subscribers roam on a non-BMO’s network.

“This one-code activation unifies all of our 11 BMOs across Asia Pacific. BMOs’ customers, from both consumer and business segments, can now benefit from the easy activation for roaming services anytime and anywhere,” said Alessandro Adriani, Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Alliance. “Customers can continue to enjoy our affordable roaming rates when they are roaming on the preferred BMO’s network in the location they visit.”

To promote the 145 regional activation code, Bridge Alliance commissioned creative agency, McCann WorldGroup Philippines Inc., to develop print advertisements for placements in three key in-flight publications – SilverKris (Singapore Airlines), Discovery (Cathy Pacific) and Travel 3Sixty (AirAsia).
