What is Bridge DataRoam?
Bridge DataRoam is a capped usage subscription plan for mobile data(1) roaming usage across the Bridge Alliance member networks.

(1) Mobile data refers to GSM and WCDMA packet data technology standards such as GPRS and HSDPA. Users would use mobile data roaming when they access their mobile emails or surf the mobile internet when they are traveling overseas.


What are the Bridge DataRoam subscription plans?
Bridge DataRoam has the following subscription plans for customers to choose from:

(i) Bridge DataRoam40 – US$60 per month for capped usage of 40MB
(ii) Bridge DataRoam15 – US$30 per month for capped usage of 15MB
(iii) Bridge DataRoam5 (monthly)– US$15 per month for capped usage of 5MB
(iv) Bridge DataRoam5 (weekly)– US$12.50 per week for capped usage of 5MB
(v) Bridge DataRoam5 (daily) – US$10.00 per day for capped usage of 5MB


What roaming services can be used with Bridge DataRoam?
Bridge DataRoam5 , Bridge DataRoam15 and Bridge DataRoam40 can be used for Blackberry
roaming and general mobile data roaming, such as surfing the mobile internet and accessing
your home operator's service portals.


What are the benefits of Bridge DataRoam?

Where can I use Bridge DataRoam?
Bridge DataRoam can be used across the 11 territories of the Bridge Alliance member operators' network:
Australia (Optus), Hong Kong (CSL), India (Airtel), Indonesia (Telkomsel), Korea (SK Telecom), Macau (CTM), Malaysia (Maxis), Philippines (Globe Telecom), Singapore (SingTel Mobile), Taiwan (Taiwan Mobile), Thailand (AIS).


What can I get with 5MB, 15MB or 40MB? How many emails or Web pages can I download?
For 5MB, you can download an average of 100(1) emails or 500(2) WAP pages or 50(3) web pages.

For 15MB, you can download an average of 300(1) emails or 1500(2) WAP pages or 150(3) web pages.

For 40MB, you can download an average of 800(4) emails or 4000(5) WAP pages or 400(6) web pages.

Assumptions:
(1), (4) – Based on average size of 50 kilobytes per email
(2), (5) – Based on an average size of 10 kilobytes per WAP page
(3), (6) – Based on an average size of 100 kilobytes per web page



How will I be charged for usage beyond the capped 5MB, 15MB or 40MB?

For usage beyond the capped 5MB, 15MB or 40MB, you will be charged based on the prevailing data roaming rate of your home operator.


Can I use Bridge DataRoam across multiple Bridge Alliance member operators' network?
Yes, Bridge DataRoam can be used across multiple Bridge Alliance member operators' network.


Can I carry forward any unused MB?
No, any unused MB or remaining usage cannot be carried forward.


Can I use Bridge DataRoam for my local mobile data services?
No, Bridge DataRoam can only be used for data roaming on Bridge Alliance member operators' network.


When can I subscribe for Bridge DataRoam? How to subscribe?
You can subscribe to Bridge DataRoam from the following Bridge Alliance member operators:
Singapore (SingTel Mobile), India (Airtel), Taiwan (Taiwan Mobile), Philippines (Globe Telecom), Indonesia (Telkomsel), Malaysia (Maxis), Thailand (AIS) , Hong Kong(CSL), Korea (SK Telecom), Australia (Optus)

Are there any special terms and conditions?
Bridge DataRoam is an add-on subscription plan exclusive to Bridge Alliance member operators' network. Customers need to subscribe to a local mobile data plan with a Bridge Alliance member operator to add-on the Bridge DataRoam plan for data roaming. Please refer to our brochure and check with your respective local Bridge Alliance member operator for other local terms and conditions.


How do I ensure that I am always logged on to a Bridge Alliance operator network?
To ensure that you are always logged on to a Bridge Alliance member operators' network, you can select using the manual network selection on your handset.

Note: Steps may differ slightly from phone to phone

Step 1: Select 'Menu'
Step 2: Select 'Settings'
Step 3: Select ‘Network' or 'Connectivity'
Step 4: Select ‘Operator selection' or 'Search mode'
Step 5: Select 'Manual', and your phone will now search for mobile networks that are available around you.
Step 6: Select one of the following Bridge Alliance member operators' network:
Australia (Optus), Hong Kong (CSL), India (Airtel), Indonesia (Telkomsel), Korea (SK Telecom), Macau (CTM), Malaysia (Maxis), Philippines (Globe Telecom), Singapore (SingTel Mobile), Taiwan (Taiwan Mobile), Thailand (AIS).

To change back to automatic network selection, repeat Step 1 to For Step 5, select 'Automatic' and your phone will now be able to select any available network automatically.


If I am logged on to a NON Bridge Alliance member operators' network, how will I be charged?
The Bridge DataRoam price plan is only applicable for usage on Bridge Alliance member operators' network. If you are logged on to a NON Bridge Alliance member operators' network, the prevailing data roaming charges of other service providers will apply.
