Bridge Mobile Alliance delivers greater value and perks to customers roaming on alliance members’ networks across Asia

(22 December 2006) Customers traveling in Asia can now enjoy greater value and perks when they roam with Bridge Mobile Alliance member networks. Bridge Mobile Alliance is Asia’s largest mobile alliance comprising the region’s top nine mobile operators with a combined GSM subscriber base of over 100 million.

Through a concerted collaboration, the operator members of Bridge Mobile Alliance have launched a suite of regional roaming value offers across Asia to deliver greater value, perks and benefits to customers who roam with the alliance’s member networks. These include exclusive offers on 3G video calls at voice roaming rates, special Blackberry roaming rates, a first-in-Asia mobile travel portal called “Bridge ConciergeGo”, and a regional campaign giving instant treats and prizes to reward customers who accumulate the highest roaming talktime during the 10-week campaign period from 18 December 2006 to 25 February 2007.

3G subscribers roaming on Bridge Mobile Alliance member networks can now enjoy making 3G video calls at voice roaming rates*. This means they do not have to pay additional video call roaming charges for making 3G video calls when roaming and furthermore, 3G users can now enjoy more seamless 3G coverage across Asia on the alliance’s member networks.

Bridge ConciergeGo offers comprehensive travel information of 13 major Asian cities including Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane), Hong Kong, India (New Delhi, Mumbai), Indonesia (Jakarta, Bali), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Philippines (Manila), Singapore and Taiwan (Taipei).

From 18 December 2006 to 25 February 2007, customers who roam with Bridge Mobile Alliance member networks+ are given instant treats and they will stand a chance to win attractive prizes. The “Roam in Asia & Be Rewarded” campaign rewards customers who roam with the alliance’s member networks and roamers who accumulate the highest roaming talktime during the 10-week campaign period will win prizes. These include:

  • FREE Instant Treat @ Arrival

  • Fortnightly Top Roamer Prize
