Mr Anton Reynaldo Bonifacio has been working at the forefront of technology for over 20 years. His foray into the field started in the mid-90s at the age of 12, as the youngest Bulletin Board System (BBS) system operator in the Philippines.

He started teaching, training, and consulting professionally, and was among the first wave of young Linux, Unix, and Open Source advocates in the Philippines. He was one of the first Red Hat Linux Certified Engineers (RHCE), and was, at 23, the youngest Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in the Philippines in 2006. He was awarded with the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Top Scorer Award for the December 2008 examinations.

Currently the Chief Intelligence and Trust Officer (CITO) for Globe Telecom, Anton leads the strategic convergence of AI, Data, Cybersecurity, and Digital Policy to drive the company’s evolution. He leads the overall AI transformation agenda, from architecture, platform engineering, enablement, to responsible governance, while simultaneously establishing enterprise-grade data foundations that treat information as a core competitive advantage and a single source of truth. With a tenure of over 12 years as CISO, Anton has built a globally unique, converged IT and Network cybersecurity and privacy team that protects both the telco’s core infrastructure and its broader digital portfolio. By unifying these critical functions, he ensures that Globe’s AI-driven future is built upon a secure, scalable, and data-centric framework designed to better serve its people and customers.

Anton also sits as a Non-Executive Director for the board of G-Xchange, Inc. or GXI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mynt that handles the mobile wallet operations of GCash.
