Er Chiang Kai
Mr Er Chiang Kai is an experienced software development leader, especially in the design and development of security software. As CTO, Chiang Kai provides guidance to the research, product engineering and support teams, to productize V-Key research into quality product releases and provide support for them. Chiang Kai also represents V-Key at institutions of higher learning, and international standards organizations such as Common Criteria and FIDO Alliance.
Before joining V-Key, Chiang Kai was Senior Manager of Software Engineering at IBM’s Singapore Software Lab. He was instrumental in growing the software development lab from a small team when Encentuate was acquired by IBM in 2008, to the multi-product and cross-functional lab when he left IBM. With more than ten years of experience in leading software development teams, he has been a guest speaker for software engineering courses at the National University of Singapore. Prior to IBM and Encentuate, Chiang Kai was a key player in security infrastructure management and policy making in the Singapore government, which has won many awards in e-government.
Chiang Kai holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering, and a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which he attended on a National Computer Board (predecessor of the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore) overseas scholarship.
