Mr. Chong is the Singtel Group Chief Technology Officer. He was Singtel’s Chief Executive Officer, International, from January 2013 to March 2017.

He is the current Chairman of Bridge Alliance, Asia Pacific’s leading mobile alliance of 34 premier operators, serving close to 900 million customers.

From Oct 2010 to January 2013, Mark was the Chief Operating Officer of Advanced Info Service Plc (AIS), the Group’s associate in Thailand.

He joined Singtel in 1997 and has held various executive positions in sales and marketing as well as being Executive Vice President of Networks. He had a previous assignment in Thailand from 1999 to 2000. Before Singtel, he was a member of the Singapore Administrative Service from 1990 to 1997.

Mark represented Singtel on the Boards of Globe Telecom, Bharti Infratel, OpenNet, CSLox(Thailand) and other submarine cable joint venture companies.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering and Master in Research in Electronic Systems from ENSERG, Grenoble, France, on a Singapore Government scholarship. He also obtained his Master of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. He is a senior fellow with the Singapore Computer Society.

Niklas has been with the Volvo Group since 2018. In his role as VP, System Solutions & Partnerships, he builds relations with other companies and industries in order to develop the companies’ capacity for transport solutions and through different value chains.

He works across the group and across the main future technology areas (electrification, automation, and connectivity). Prior to Volvo Group Niklas was the CEO of Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg, Sweden, building collaboration programs and projects for industry, academy, and society.

Niklas has also experience from Volvo Cars where he held a number of different positions including in the field of diagnostics and telematics.

Based in Singapore, Sam is a Senior Managing Director with more than 13 years’ telecoms, media, technology and sports experience in advisory and industry roles. His primary focus is management consulting and serving clients in Asia and globally, with expertise spanning definition and implementation of Telco growth strategies, convergence, commercial partnership development, and international wholesale / submarine networks.

Sam has extensive experience helping telecoms, media, technology and sports companies with growth strategy definitions, going-to-market, commercial partnership definition and commercial due diligence. He has worked across Southeast Asia, North America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East with businesses ranging from start-ups to incumbents. Sam has also helped to form and lead the ITW Global Leaders Forum, the executive forum of the international wholesale carrier industry which exists to drive collaborative initiatives and thought leadership within the sector.

Prior to joining Delta Partners, Sam was a Partner with Redshift Strategy and Strategy Director at GSMA where he worked with global mobile operators to develop the industry’s strategic roadmap.  He has also held commercial roles with Virgin Media as well as in consulting with Greenwich Consulting and Spectrum Strategy Consultants.

Sam has a BA and MA (Oxon) from Oxford University where he studied PPE. He is fluent in English and conversational in Spanish.

Mr Bill Chang was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Group Enterprise on 16 July 2012. He leads the infocomm and technology (ICT) team, providing solutions to enterprise customers. He also assumed the role of Country Chief Officer Singapore on 1 October 2014, as principal liaison with local and regulatory bodies.

Bill joined Singtel in November 2005 as Executive Vice President of Corporate Business and subsequently as Managing Director, Business Group.

Bill is the co-chair of the Future Jobs and Skills sub-committee of the Committee on the Future Economy of Singapore as well as a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ International Advisory Technology Governance and Innovations Panel. He also sits on the Board of Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore and has been appointed as a Trustee of the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

Bill has won multiple recognitions including the Public Service Star in conjunction with National Day Honours, the Singapore Computer Society’s IT Leader of the Year award in 2017, and the honorary Fellow of the Society in 2014.

Bill graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Monash University, Australia and attended the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

Mr. Wong Soon Nam has served as Director of Planning and Transformation since August 2020. He has vast leadership experience in the telecommunications and technology industry for more than 20 years.

His career highlights have shown several senior leadership roles, such as Vice President of Consumer Products at SingTel (2015-2020), Vice President of Smart and Safe City for NCS Group (2012-2015), General Manager of SingTel Group (2009-2012), Vice President of Consumer Marketing at SingTel (2007-2009), Vice President of Corporate Business Marketing at SingTel (2005-2007), and Vice President of Account Management at SingTel (2003-2005).

Soon Nam has also held several important positions in various organizations and institutions, such as Board Member of Bridge Alliance (2016-present), Board Member of VA Dynamics (2014-present), Chairman of Kai Square (2014-2015), and Council Member of the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (2005-2008).

Soon Nam is a Nanyang Technological University graduate and holds an MSc. degree from the National University of Singapore.

Mr. David AN leads ZTE CTO Group Asia and has more than 20 years’ experience in the wireless telecommunications field. He represented ZTE as a keynote speaker at several ITU and international ICT industry conferences and exhibitions.

Geok Chwee is the Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Alliance. Bridge Alliance is an alliance of 34 premier telecommunication service providers covering Asia, Middle East and Africa. She oversees the strategy and operation of Bridge Alliance, delivering regional initiatives that enable Bridge Alliance telco members to collaborate as close partners, delivering cross border solutions for Multi-national corporations, serving more than 900 million mobile subscribers.

With more than 20 years of experience in the info-communications industry, Geok Chwee has extensive experience in managing the incubation, development and launch of new technologies and businesses in the enterprise sector. She championed the incubation of emerging growth businesses focusing on Platform-as-a-Service, Internet of Things, and Big Data analytics, with responsibilities spanning business development, product development, product management and product marketing.

Geok Chwee is a technology evangelist who believes in open collaboration with partners and customers, co-creating value-driven innovation to advance new growth engines.

Geok Chwee holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom and a Doctor of Innovation from Singapore Management University.

Anand is the Regional Manager for the Robotics Division, based in Singapore. 

Having joined ABB in 2002, Anand has held numerous senior roles across sales and marketing, account management, and local and regional P&L responsibilities.

Anand has been based in Singapore for the last couple of years managing the region of countries across Oceania, South East Asia, Indian Subcontinent, Middle East and Africa for ABBs Robotics business.

Anand holds an MBA in International Business from the International University of Japan in Niigata, Japan.

Vicky is responsible for overseeing the Asia Pacific Technology Services organization at Johnson & Johnson, delivering infrastructure, application support, application development and technology services to Consumer Health, Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices business units covering over 25K employees in 400+ locations across the region.

His key areas of focus include application services in Digital & Connected Commerce, Customer Engagement, Data & Analytics, Supply Chain as well as Infrastructure services in Hybrid Cloud, Network and End user compute with a goal to build next generation Digital Health experience for all J&J consumers and patients.

Paul is Mavenir’s APAC CTO where he provides technical direction and thought leadership on state of the market, changing network economics as well as network technology and business models transformation to Mavenir’s customers in the region. Within that remit, he advises Service Providers how Mavenir’s growing portfolio and capabilities around 5G, Open RAN and Core, AI/ML, IoT and VAS, can help drive digitalization and shape business propositions based upon network cloudification and service innovation.

Paul’s career in telecommunication business spans over 25 years. Prior to his current role, Paul was APAC Network Transformation Lead for Cisco Mobility, Director of Sales Consulting EMEA with Oracle Communications, Regional VP of Sales Engineering for EMEA and APAC with Tekelec. He held further management positions in strategy, innovation management, business development, product management, R&D and consulting.

Paul holds a master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Germany.

Mr. C Marc Halbfinger is the Chief Executive Officer, PCCW Global, a position which he held since July 2007. He is primarily responsible for the integrated global communication solutions business and the Console Connect software defined fabric. He has been working in media and telecommunications services since 1988 with experience in cable TV, directories, cellular, and international ICT.

Marc joined PCCW in May 2000 as the Senior Vice President, Business Development of Pacific Convergence Corporation, Ltd. covering Europe and North America markets where he was involved in early commercial development of “now TV”. In 2001, he helped found Beyond-The-Network, which later became part of PCCW Global, and was initially appointed as the President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Marc is formerly the Chair of the Global Leaders’ Forum (GLF), a forum for the global carrier industry which provides leadership direction for ubiquitous interoperability and connectivity. He is also formerly a member of The Board of Governors of the Pacific Telecommunications Council. He also serves on the Board of the Singapore-based Communications Business Automation Network (CBAN).

Prior to joining PCCW, Marc was a Vice President at Teleglobe serving the Mediterranean and South Europe. Previously, he was a senior manager at Global One, Sprint International, and a subsidiary of Southwestern Bell Corporation.

Among other academic achievements, Marc earned a Master of Science (Econ.) in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1988. 

Pai Achuth is the Associate Director of Group Sourcing and Innovation Projects at Bridge Alliance, an alliance of 34 premier telecommunication service providers covering Asia, Middle East and Africa. He drives cross-border collaboration initiatives and platforms leveraging on the latest technologies such as edge computing and 5G.

Over the last ten years at Bridge Alliance, Pai has driven synergy projects within the alliance covering various revenue generating and cost optimization initiatives and has provided consulting to alliance functions in roaming, enterprise, and IoT.

Pai has over 18 years of experience in the telecommunications/ ICT industry working in various capacities with both technology vendor and service provider. Pai was previously the Director, SE Asia for Global Support Services at Dilithium Networks leading the customer engagement, pre-sales and project deliveries.

Pai graduated from University of Kerala with a Bachelor of Technology in 2002, and obtained his Master of Science, Communications Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 2005.

Sami Luukkonen joins NCS as Managing Partner, Telco Strategic Business Group, a dedicated group of practices focused on scaling NCS’ business in the Telco sector. Leveraging NCS’ strengths and domain experience as the technology service provider for the Singtel Group, Sami will focus on helping telcos digitalise their operations, and go to market competitively and innovatively. He will co-create at-scale, telco-centric solutions and offerings with telco clients across Asia Pacific.

He has more than 25 years of extensive experience in the Communications, Media and Technology (CMT) sector. He was a Senior Managing Director at Accenture as the Europe Strategic Sales across all industries and led Accenture’s Electronics & High Technology business global strategic initiatives which encompasses its acquisition strategy and ecosystem
plays within the CMT industry globally. Sami is a thought leader in various international forums and served as the chairman of Research and Innovation select group for Confederation of Finnish Industries.
