Three new service initiatives from Bridge Mobile Alliance set to enhance mobile service experience across Asia Pacific

A year after their first appearance at CommunicAsia 2005, Bridge Mobile Alliance, Asia Pacific’s largest mobile alliance group, introduces three new service initiatives that will enhance mobile user experience across Asia Pacific. Subscribers from the alliance’s member operators can look forward to enjoy more regional services to address their communication needs in the next six to twelve months.

Subscribers of Bridge Mobile Alliance member operators visiting Singapore can now enjoy quick and easy access to useful travel information via the Bridge Concierge Portal when they roam on SingTel Mobile. Regional Mobile VPN
Bridge Mobile is incubating a Regional Mobile VPN service to be on trial in the later part of 2006, targeting to serve MNCs operating across Asia Pacific. The VPN service offers enterprise customers seamless connection to their offices across Asia Pacific, over a virtual private network. Business professionals on the move can enjoy the convenience of intra-company short code dialing and call management functions such as call forwarding and screening. The VPN solution also provides collaboration tools such as instant messaging, voice and video conferencing between PCs and phones, whiteboard and file sharing.

Bridge Mobile will be showcasing GCash, the award-winning mobile payment solution by Globe Telecom’s G-Xchange, Inc. Having already seen success in the Philippines, GCash will turn your mobile phone into an electronic wallet.
